Work Experience Opportunities at Local Theatre Company

crucibleWIP3Our creative arts and media students will be able to take advantage of some excellent work experience opportunities with Kettering based theatre company, C&D Productions.

C&D Productions was founded in 2014 and is lead by Artistic Director Chris Lynch. The theatre company performs plays all year round, with over 15 productions to date, including appearances at numerous fringe festivals and a trip to the Edinburgh Fringe planned for this August.

Chris comments:

“The great thing about welcoming Tresham students from Kettering and Corby into our theatre company is that there are long-term opportunities for them to stay involved, rather then just offering a one-off project. It allows them to build strong working relationships that are invaluable after education, and work with experienced theatre practitioners to build on their skill-set.”

The work experience on offer varies from acting, directing or stage managing a production to course specific skills such as costume making, make-up, photographing shows, backstage help, poster and set design and technical support.

Chris continues:

“We decided to work with Tresham as it is a key education provider in the Kettering and Corby area. It also allows C&D to raise its awareness in the local community, which will hopefully have a knock-on effect for all the community and charity projects we run.”

C&D Productions have some fantastic projects throughout the rest of the year, including a production of The Importance Of Being Earnest, being performed at the Corby Cube at the end of May. If you would like more details about volunteering at the company, please email
