Tresham’s Pledge Awards
On Wednesday 22nd May, as part of Adult Learners Week, Evolve Business Training, Tresham’s dedicated business training division held a glittering awards ceremony at the college’s Manor Restaurant to celebrate the success of the Tresham Pledge in its first six months.
The Tresham Pledge was launched in November 2012 by Principal, Stuart Wesselby and Deputy Principal/ Managing Director of Evolve, Rachel Kay to increase the number of apprenticeship opportunities available and improve partnerships with local and national employers who are committed to increasing the skills of young people and adults in the area.
Rob Purdie, Executive Director for the Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership presented the awards to approximately 50 employers and their apprentices including:
- Ultima Displays, Corby
- Echo Packaging, Corby
- Church’s Footwear, Northampton
- Alamasc Precision Components, Barton Seagrave
- Vanity Lounge, Corby
Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership have supported Tresham’s Pledge by investing £30,000 to help increase the numbers of apprenticeships available for young people who have been out of education, employment or training for some time and provide the step into a new career.
Andy Sawford, MP for Corby and East Northants also attended the awards to support Tresham’s commitment to training young people and adults in the county.Back to news
