Tresham Launches new Sports Academy for Young Sports People
On Monday 4th November Tresham launched its brand new Sports Academy which will enable young people aged 16-18 to train as a professional sports person in the following sports:
• Football (male and female)
• Rugby (male)
• Golf (male and female)
• Netball (female)
• Boxing (male and female)
Jonathan Heathcote, Academy Director for Tresham’s Sports Academy welcomed Adrian Clifford, Advanced PGA Professional from Rushden Golf Club and Kelly Walker, Regional Development Officer for Netball to the Kettering campus on Monday 4th November to officially launch the new venture for the college.
Tresham’s Sports Academy will allow young people aged 16-18 to gain a vocational qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 in Sport alongside professional training from highly trained sportspeople who are at the top of their game.
If you are interested in signing up to the Sports Academy you must be playing as part of a school or county team and golfers must have a minimum handicap of 18. Representatives from each sport will be available at two of Tresham’s open evenings taking place in Corby on Tuesday 12th and Kettering on Wednesday 13th November from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.Back to news
