Students Take in the Sights of Disneyland Paris
Students from our Health and Social Care and Care and Early Years courses have recently returned from a fantastic trip to Disneyland Paris. The three-day trip provided a great opportunity for the 22 students to benefit from getting out of the classroom and putting their skills to the test in a very different environment.
Accompanied by tutors Lucy Frain, Ann Johnson and Mark Fountain, the group were able to take full advantage of the range of activities that the resort had to offer; including the Warner Bros Studios, Disney Parades, Fireworks and Laser Show, as well as the endless list of theme park rides.
Looking back at the trip, Care and Early Years Tutor, Lucy Frain, said:
“Although the trip was essentially about having fun, like any activity of this kind, there are still some really useful learning opportunities for the students. We felt really confident allowing them take responsibility for their own actions; they conducted themselves really well and showed a great attitude.
Because it was such a mixed group, with students taking part from a wide range of our care and early years courses, it was great to see new friendships formed and just how supportive they were of each other. From the tutors point of view, it was also a good opportunity to see another side of the students outside of the classroom, it gives you confidence that they have developed the skills needed to go on to progress in whatever they choose to do after Tresham.
Overall it was a really enjoyable trip that gave us all, tutors included, the chance to re-live a little bit of our childhoods.”Back to news
