We recognise that you are a very different person at 16 years old than when you were 11 and starting secondary school. That’s why we make sure that life at college is different from studying at school. You are encouraged to take responsibility for your own learning much more as you would in a work or university environment.
The teaching style is less formal than you’ve experienced in school. All of our tutors are experienced in working with young adults and bring their own practical work experience into their classes.
Another major difference is the enrichment activities arranged within the college and our fantastic Student Union team. Guest speakers, trips, work experience, social and sporting events all contribute to your learning experience.
You will still be expected to work hard. Personal Development Coaches will work with you throughout your course to make sure that you are getting the most from the opportunities available and achieving your targets.
Whichever subject you decide to study you will benefit from the excellent facilities at our campuses. Our modern buildings have been designed to provide realistic working environments where you can practice and perfect your skills. We focus on employability – working with local companies to ensure that we focus on the skills you need.
