Radio 1 Visits Corby Students
Chris visited the college as part of his visit to Corby to raise awareness of the Radio 1 and 1xtra #1MillionHours volunteering campaign. The yearlong volunteering campaign encourages listeners of the stations to pledge 1 million hours of time to good causes over the next 12 months.
Students at Tresham pledged nearly 100 hours during Chris’ visit to the campus with students offering to volunteer with charities including Age UK, Barnado’s, Cancer Research UK and Oxfam.
During his visit Chris Stark spoke to students across the college and took a tour of some of the classrooms to highlight the campaign. These interviews will feature as part of a programme due to be broadcast later this month.
