Positive Signs for Academy Player
Football Academy student Ryan Kenyon has enjoyed a successful season with Tresham’s first team, with the highlight being a great run to the quarter-finals of the National Cup competition.
Ryan also represents Kettering Town Football Club at Under 18s and Under 21s. His performances in the youth sides have been rewarded as he has recently completed his registration to be eligible to play for the clubs first team and is now benefitting from training with the senior squad.
“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment. I feel that I have developed as a player, particularly since joining the Academy at Tresham. The training has been excellent and I have learnt so much from the coaches; who all have experience of playing professionally.
I’ve been playing with Kettering Town FC for two years and the chance to train, and potentially play, with the first team is great.”
Tresham has many links with professional clubs and Ryan, who plays mainly as an attacking midfielder, has recently had trials with Peterborough UTD FC and hopes that others will follow. He is studying on a level 2 Sports programme, alongside his Academy commitments, and intends to stay on at Tresham to gain the level 3 Sport qualification before training towards a career as a P.E Teacher.Back to news
