Our Electrical students are shining examples
Our Level three Electrical students at the Wellingborough campus have been outshining their classmates. Four members of the Level three Electrical group have 100% attendance since September, showing their dedication and enthusiasm for the course as well as their future careers.
The entire group were positive about their course, the Wellingborough campus and the teaching. One of the students stated “I chose Tresham as it was in a good location, small and intimate and I’d received great recommendations for the Electrical courses on offer. I completed Level 2 last year and am current studying my Level 3. The course has been great with large workshops, practical training and once I’ve completed this year it will allow me to progress into an apprenticeship or a job within the professional electrical installation sector”.
Tutor, Graham Venning said “I am extremely proud of my students; four of them currently have 100% attendance for this academic year, two of whom also carry across 100% from the last academic year. I have high expectations of my students and I want them to do well as they all want apprenticeships or jobs after finishing their qualifications”.
One of the students within the group is currently studying his Level 3 whilst working towards an individual project to enter the MEGGER National Apprentice of the Year 2015 competition. Taking place on the 24th March, the first part of the competition will be the regional heat which means he’ll be competing with other local schools and colleges in the Midlands. The regional winners will then go head to head in the national live final, taking place in Birmingham. Up for grabs is a trophy as well as £1,000 to spend on tools and electrical equipment.
Great effort to all those involved and we’ll be keeping an eye out for the MEGGER National Apprentice of the Year 2015 competition.Back to news
