Northampton Saints Under 14 & 15s Teams Train at Tresham
Following on from the success of the first team’s training session at Tresham’s Astrourf pitch last season the Saints Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) have recently returned to hold important training sessions for more of its teams.
Youngsters at Under-14 and Under-15 level only get the opportunity to meet three to four times a year and due to recent bad weather their most recent meeting was under threat of being cancelled. Tresham’s Astroturf pitch was felt to be an ideal place to maintain their high level of training on the all-weather pitch and the college offered it as an alternative training pitch to ensure that the group could continue their training as planned.
EPDG manager Ross Stewart showed his appreciation for the support offered by Tresham at short notice.
“We’re really grateful to Tresham College. To be able to access these great facilities allows us to continue the development of these young players. Given our limited contact time with the group every session is valuable and the quality of the 4G surface allows us to get the best out of the group.
“We have had good success at an Academy level in the last few months and the help Tresham have provided has been extremely helpful.
“I look forward to developing our relationship with Tresham College and working with them again in the future.”Back to news
