New Director at Tresham Focuses on Business Training
Tresham College of Further and Higher Education has welcomed new Managing Director for Business Development and Innovation, Rachel Kay, who officially began her new role at the college on August 1st 2012 ready for the new academic year.
Rachel has joined the college after successfully establishing Trinity Business Training at Salford City College. Rachel began her working life as a professional dancer and built a career at senior and national management level in hospitality and hotel management.
After moving into education and during her most recent role at Trinity Business Training Rachel launched an ambitious apprenticeship recruitment campaign which was saw a significant increase in enrolments and partnerships with local employers.
Rachel’s new role as Deputy Principal and Managing Director for Business Development and Innovation will be to work with local employers to ensure that Tresham trains young people and adults with the skills required for the workplace and provide local businesses with a choice of fantastic candidates to join their workforce.

It has some great external relationships already in place and I’m really looking forward to growing and building the provision and skills area to meet the needs of employers in the area. I want Tresham to stand out from the crowd. It will be THE place
to come and achieve entrepreneurial skills. It will be the college to equip you with tangible skills that employers want.”
