Former Engineering Apprentice Wins National Award
A young Corby engineer has won the Maintenance Professional Award at a recent international maintenance event held at the NEC, Birmingham in March 2013. Tom Cosgrove, 22, who began his career as an apprentice at Tresham, was awarded Maintenance Apprentice of the Year for his ability and commitment.
The award, which was presented at the MAINTEC event, recognises and rewards young engineers who, through the maintenance process, have delivered real commercial benefits to their organisation. These benefits include improvements in performance, such as greater output or reduced downtime, or financial gains such as energy savings.
Tom has worked for Peterborough-based PEME who provide specialist engineering services to several major manufacturers, many based in the Northamptonshire area September 2008.
The judges applauded Tom Cosgrove for his commitment and ability and identified him as an exceptional mechanical technician experienced in a range of industrial manufacturing environments with a proven ability to deliver maintenance-related tasks.Back to news
