First Apprentices Networking Meeting a big success!
Apprentices from different businesses from all over Northamptonshire, got together for an Apprenticeship Networking event at Tresham College’s Manor Conference Centre on Thursday 4th May.
The event, believed to be the first of its kind in Northamptonshire, was organised by Robinson Manufacturing Ltd and aimed to connect young apprentices with one another in the local area. Apprentices were able to share best practices and learn from each other’s experiences as well as grow their own network of contacts.
The event was made up of activities created by the organisers to not only break the ice within the group, but to also highlight the daily challenges that apprentices face within the workplace and how to overcome them.
The event was a great success with all of the attendees feeling that they’d learned something valuable that they could apply to their own job role
“I had a really positive experience this morning as I gained a lot of knowledge” – said Katie Milligan, Corby Borough Council
“It was really good to see different perspectives from other apprentices who work in a variety of industries” – Sam Stutley, Weetabix
Mark Rolf, Robinson Manufacturing Finance Manager said: “From the feedback I’ve seen, the attendees enjoyed the event, and felt it was a good and worthwhile venture. We’ve already started planning the second event.”
This was the first of many Networking Meetings to come, that will look to build up a strong network of apprentices in this region. For more information on upcoming Networking Meetings, please contact:
