Fashion Show Raises more than £700 for Cransley Hospice

3195_lA charity fashion show which took place on Thursday 26th April and was organised by fashion and textiles learners has raised more than £700 for  Cransley Hospice.

All proceeds, including ticket sales and an auction to sell the outfits on show,  are being donated to Cransley Hospice. Many of the pieces on show have been designed by Textiles and Fashion students at the college to have a hidden panel which altered the size of the creation allowing it to be worn by women of all sizes.

Marie Taylor, Textiles and Fashion lecturer said:
“The fashion show was a great opportunity to showcase the high quality work that our learners have created whilst also raising money for a very worthwhile cause. The learners really enjoyed the event and the preparation beforehand.”

The event, held at Tresham’s Kettering campus, was a huge success with student models heading down the catwalk to an audience of over 200 people. There were also performances from Performing Arts learners whilst Photography learners documented the event.
