Single Equality Scheme

We value and promote the unique experiences, abilities and backgrounds of each individual at Tresham and we endeavour to provide a friendly and supportive environment to help all of our staff and students achieve their full potential.

The principles of our Single Equality Scheme are based on our four headline objectives in terms of equality, diversity and British values:

  1. To implement and maintain effective data systems for capturing (relevant) learner and staff data relating to the protected characteristics
  2. To ensure that any gaps in key learner data are addressed; including outcomes, progression, satisfaction and disciplinary data
  3. To ensure Equality, Diversity and Fundamental British Values are promoted and celebrated in all that we do
  4. To work towards eradicating all forms of discrimination within the College environment and to raise awareness of anti-discriminatory practice and the Prevent agenda with all learners and staff in relation to each of the protected characteristics.

The committee meet regularly throughout the academic year (please click here for the committee’s Terms of Reference). Minutes from the most recent meetings can be found by following the links below however if you require any additional information or copies of previous minutes then these can be requested by contacting Erica Knight.
