Ellie Wins iPad Mini at November Open Evening
On Wednesday 20th November, Tresham College of Further and Higher Education’s Director of Customer Services, Fiona Phillip, presented a brand new iPad mini to a delighted Ellie Smith who entered a competition whilst visiting a recent college open evening.
Ellie attended the Kettering open evening which saw a record number of visitors on the night to find out more about a variety of different courses offered at the college including Business, Catering, Performance, Child Care, Hairdressing and Beauty and Travel and Tourism as she couldn’t quite decide which subjects to study.
Following her visit and speaking to tutors at the event Ellie has decided that she would like to study A Levels to be able to pursue a career as a teacher and has already applied to study at the Kettering campus once she completes her GCSEs.
When asked how she found the open evening Ellie said:
“The open evening was really good and it’s given me more of an understanding about what I want to do in the future. The tutors were really helpful and told me what subjects would be best to study to become a teacher. I looked through the prospectus and when I spoke to one of the advisers and Connexions I have decided the best subjects to study including English and Psychology.”
Sue Titmuss, Head of Marketing and Social Media at Tresham, who organised the events with the Marketing team said:
“We are extremely pleased with the record numbers we saw at each of our campus open evenings last week. Visitors were able to have a look round each of our campuses in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough and speak to tutors from each of the subjects that we offer.
We had a great response to our competition and I hope Ellie enjoys her iPad mini which will always come in handy with revision for her GCSEs. We look forward to seeing her in September.”
