Deputy Prime Minister Visits Corby Campus

On Thursday 1st November Tresham College of Further and Higher Education welcomed Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg MP who visited the college during half term to speak to students and apprentices who study at the Corby campus together with local employers who offer apprenticeships in partnership with the college.


Nick Clegg MP visited students in the Engineering and Motor Vehicle workshops followed by an informal focus group with apprentices and their employers from a variety of industries including Painting and Decorating, Brickwork and Hairdressing.

When interviewed by BBC Radio Northampton, he said:

?This is a really impressive, state-of-the-art college facility […] This college is doing great work in helping young people to get the qualification in skills like motor mechanics and engineering to get a job.”

Tresham was praised for the training it provides for young people and for working with employers to ensure that they are able to progress to apprenticeships or further study to get a full time job in their chosen career.
