The School of Creative Arts and Media is based at our Kettering campus and has superb facilities to develop your creative ambitions. Students from Tresham have an excellent record of securing employment in their chosen career field with many employers repeatedly recruiting from our courses.
Our wide range of courses in Music and Performing Arts is also based at our Kettering campus. Our superb facilities include a 165-seater performance theatre, dance studio and music suite all equipped with modern, state-of-the-art equipment.
Our music courses cover a varied syllabus including theory and practical sessions to give a full understanding of the music industry. Performing arts students work on a variety of performance projects and shows and follow a programme which covers core skills such as acting and musical theatre as well as technical aspects including lighting and sound.
We also have many learners successfully progress through to study courses at University, including the Tresham University Centre HNC and HND programmes in Graphic Design, Photography, Fashion and Textiles, Performing Arts and Music.
“I enjoyed studying drama at school and was keen to study performing arts further. The course is great; the practical workshops focus on developing techniques, but there is also a lot of theory work involved too. The facilities are excellent and love performing live shows in the theatre.”
“I enjoy the adult atmosphere at college, its very different to the usual school environment. I like the practical nature of the course and have developed new skills in filming and editing; to see a project through to completion is really rewarding. The course has also broadened my interest in journalism, and I plan to go on to Coventry University to study this further.”
