You will learn advanced cutting, colouring and styling techniques to build on existing knowledge learnt at level 2.
• Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
• Consultation support for colleagues on hair services
• Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques
• Cut womens hair to create a variety of looks
• Colour hair to create a variety of looks
• Bridal Hair
During the course you will gain more advanced hairdressing skills to offer to your existing clients or when applying for employment. You can also continue your training and professional development with our other part time courses e.g. Cutting Mens Hair.
You will be assessed through formative and summative (graded) practical assessments in the college salons, as well as theory exams via City & Guilds online assessments.
You will be required to purchase a Level 3 Hairdressing kit for this course at a cost of £91.50.
If you are aged 19 or over and thinking of studying a Level 3, 4 or 5 courses, you may be entitled to an Advanced Learning Loan or Higher Education Loan to help pay your tuition costs. These loans are not means-tested and are offered regardless of your current employment status. They cover the cost of your course and you dont have to repay the loan until you are earning over £21,000 per year.
