Painting and Decoration Level 3

Why study this course?

Level 3 is ideal if you've worked in the construction industry and have plenty of experience. Your work might involve supervising others or managing resources; or if you want to develop your skills further and move into a senior role or a position with more responsibility.

It covers the following skills:

- Erecting and Dismantling Access Equipment and Working Platforms
- Applying Hangings to Walls and Ceilings
- Producing specialist finishes for painted decorative work
- Producing specialist architectural finishes for decorative work
- Applying Water-Borne Paint Systems Using airless equipment
- Applying water-borne paint systems using high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray equipment

- Unit 201/601 Health, safety and welfare in construction
- Unit 301/701 Principles of organising, planning and pricing construction work
- Unit 220 Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms
- Unit 311 Applying hangings to walls and ceilings
- Unit 312 Producing specialist finishes for painted decorative work
- Unit 313 Producing specialist architectural finishes for decorative work
- Unit 314 Applying water-borne paint systems using airless equipment
- Unit 331 Applying water-borne paint systems using High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) spray

How will I be assessed?

Multiple choice test covering knowledge outcomes. Practical assignments delivered and marked by the tutor/assessor and externally verified by City and Guilds
