This course will give you skills to apply the principles of photography (developed on the Introduction to Photography course) to a more sophisticated level. This course has a focus on extending your technical ability and introduces studio lighting and flash techniques.
Building on your prior knowledge of digital photography to enable you to improve your photography
skills.
Understand how to work in a photography studio, location photography, presentation methods and
portfolio building. You will produce a portfolio of studio and location photographs using different
lighting techniques.
This course will prepare you to progress onto the Access to HE in Creative Arts & Media course, or directly onto an HND in Photography (Part-time or Full-time). Depending on experience and qualifications.
You will need a Digital SLR camera and will also need to pay for any printing of your photographs from disk.
Applicants will need to bring a DSLR camera, tripod and an A3 sketchbook.
If you are taking a course costing more than £100 we can arrange for you to pay your fees in up to 7 monthly instalments, depending on the length of your course. An admin fee of £20 is charged for this service. Full terms and conditions will be supplied when you enrol.
