This online course will enable you to gain additional skills and a qualification whilst working. You will have access to specialist support from dedicated tutors throughout the programme.
This course allows you to explore the importance of communication in adult social care settings, the concept of inclusion, the importance of safeguarding individuals and how to identify different types of abuse. You will look at the importance of health and safety that is required in a social care setting and how to handle information, i.e. recording, storing and sharing of information. You will also gain the knowledge required to understand the nature of working relationships and the fundamental principles of person-centred support.
Learners will be provided with a resource pack with assessment booklets to complete.
Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
