Barbering (Level 3)

Why study this course?

This course will cover the skills and knowledge to progress into employment in the barbering industry. The course is suitable for those wishing to gain the necessary skills to run their own business or work as a qualified barber.

What will I study?

You will complete the following units: Monitor health and safety practice in the workplace, Consultation support for colleagues on hair services, Cut mens hair to create a variety of looks, Cut facial hair to create a variety of looks, Colour hair to create a variety of looks, Creative Hairdressing design skills, Provide shaving and face massage services, Perm hair to create a variety of looks, Design and create patterns in hair, Promote and sell products and services to clients.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

You will be qualified to work as a barber or may to continue to expand on your skills with a course in womens hairdressing.

How will I be assessed?

Each unit will have a variety of assessment criteria. This will be covered with on-line end of unit tests, assignments and practical assessments working on clients.
