If you are looking to work in one of the varied trades within the construction industry then our wide range of study programmes will equip you with the skills that you need. Study programmes are delivered by experienced staff in industry standard, well-equipped workshops. Due to the need to acquire essential skills in each discipline, progression to the higher levels is dependent upon successful completion of each lower level. Tresham College has excellent links with industry and has helped students to gain apprenticeships and employment with local companies.
You will develop complex bricklaying knowledge and skills, in addition to preparing you for first line supervisory roles within the construction industry. The qualification covers; principles of organising, planning and pricing construction. Work, repair and maintenance of structures, constructing radial and battered work, carrying out decorative and reinforced brickwork, constructing fireplaces and chimneys and health safety and welfare in construction.
This study programme will prepare you for progression on to the Bricklaying Level 3 study programme or an apprenticeship.
• Personal protective equipment for the course (PPE) approx. £30
• Textbooks approx. £20
• You will also be required to pay approx. £40 to take a CSCS test. This will allow you to complete the mandatory 30 hours work experience required as part of this study programme
