Site Carpentry (Level 3)

What will I study?

You will develop complex site carpentry knowledge and skills, in addition to preparing you for first line supervisory roles within the construction industry. This qualification will cover: the principles of organising; planning and pricing construction work; health safety and welfare in construction, first fix flooring and roofing; second fixing operations, first fix roofing and stairs; second fixing double doors and mouldings and the set up and use of transportable machinery.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This Level 3 qualification can help you find employment, or an apprenticeship in site carpentry and/or first line supervisory roles.

Are there any additional costs?

• Personal protective equipment for the course (PPE) approx. £30
• Textbooks approx. £20
• Basic tool kit approx. £50
• You will also be required to pay approx. £40 to take a CSCS test. This will allow you to complete the mandatory 30 hours work experience required as part of this study programme

What qualifications will I gain?

• Site Carpentry City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma • Health, Safety and Environment (CSCS) Test AND • English and maths qualifications if required
