Musical Theatre (Level 3)


Why study this course?

Our superb facilities include a 165-seater performance theatre, dance studio, black box rehearsal studio, TV studio & control room, large rehearsal studio and specialist sound proof music rehearsal rooms; all equipped with modern, state-of-the-art equipment.

What will I study?

You will work alongside industry professionals and study: musical theatre, acting, auditions preparation, ballet technique, jazz dance, singing skills, tap dance, contemporary dance and choreography. You will learn about the importance of a professional approach to your work and participate in regular public performances in the theatre. You will attend workshops led by current West End performers; invaluable for building your CV.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This study programme can help you find employment, or give you the UCAS points needed for university.

It will prepare you for auditions for higher education courses at drama school or university. Previous students have gained places at Italia Conti, Performers College, LIPA, Stella Mann, Midland Academy of Dance and
Drama and Birmingham School of Acting.

Is there anything else I need to know when considering this course?

Entry is subject to a successful interview and audition. You must prepare a piece to perform for 2 to 3 minutes at your audition.

• Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma AND • English and maths qualifications if required
