Barbering (Level 2)

Why study this course?

This is a one year City & Guilds programme designed to give you the skills and knowledge to work as a Level 2 Barber. The Level 2 Barbering study programme is designed for beginners and for those that hold womens hairdressing qualifications and are looking to enhance the skills required in this fast growing industry. You will train in well-equipped modern salons with experienced teaching staff. The programme includes 30 hours of work experience that can be completed in local barber or hair salons. Once qualified you will have the option to advance your skills and knowledge further with the Level 3 Advanced Barbering Diploma.

What will I study?

You will study cutting mens hair, cutting mens facial hair, colour and highlighting, client consultations, working in the hair industry and following health and safety practice in the salon.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This study programme will prepare you for progression on to a Level 3 study programme or you can progress on to an apprenticeship or into employment.
