This study programme will equip you with the make-up and hair skills and techniques to begin a career in the make-up industry. The programme covers a range of industry hair and media make-up skills. You will be based at the Kettering Hair & Beauty Department where you will develop skills to start your career path as a make-up artist.
You will study: working in beauty related & make-up industries; following health & safety practices; client care & communication; applying make-up; providing eyelash & brow treatments; the art of photographic make-up; body art design; applying skin tanning techniques, making & styling a hair addition and the art of colouring.
This study programme will prepare you to progress on to the Level 3 Theatrical Media Make-Up programme. This involves applying prosthetic pieces, fantasy hair design for performers, and creating and casting small prosthetic pieces and bald caps.
