Childcare and Education Early Years Educator (Level 3)


Why study this course?

This is a great qualification to gain Early Years Educator status and is a minimum requirement to gain employment within the childcare sector.

What will I study?

You will study a range of units including: child development; health and wellbeing; providing safe environments; play and learning; understanding childrens additional needs; observation; assessment and planning; professional development, emergent literacy and maths; readiness for school and international procedures. You will be required to undertake two days a week in a practical placement working with children between 0 to 7 years of age.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This Level 3 qualification can help you find employment, or give you the UCAS points needed for university.

You could progress onto teacher training courses or the Foundation Degree in Early Years Studies or Educational Practice here at Tresham College, or progress into employment in a variety of early years or school settings or
undergraduate study at university.
