Information and Creative Technology (Level 2)

Why study this course?

Suited to people who want a career in creative IT this course will help you towards a career as a computer technician, in programming, games design or website development and maintenance. You will also be building a web based portfolio to showcase all of your coursework to prospective employers.

What will I study?

You will study a range of topics including: the online world; digital portfolio; technology systems; creating digital graphics; computing in the workplace; website development; spreadsheet development; computational thinking; installing and maintaining hardware; multimedia products development; the online world and installing and maintaining software.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

You can progress on to an apprenticeship or go on to our Level 3 Computer Science study programme which allow you to specialise in Software Development, Hardware or Interactive Media.

Although the government has announced that exams will not be going ahead this summer, we are committed to ensuring that all students who apply to join us this year will be able to do so.
