Why study this course?

This course gives you the opportunity to go to university to study nursing, social work and many other health profession qualifications. It is also a great stepping stone for entering into employment.

What will I study?

You will study a range of core, mandatory and optional units including: communication, equality & diversity; nutrition in health; human growth & development; safeguarding; working in health & social care and common care disorders. You will be required to undertake one day per week in a practical placement where you will take on the role of an employee in a variety of settings.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This Level 3 qualification can help you find employment, or give you the UCAS points needed for university.

You could study for a Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care or Psychology & Crime at Tresham College or go on to study HND or degree courses in Social Work, Nursing, Medical Studies, Teaching, Psychology or Youth Studies, or find employment in the sector.
