Fashion and Clothing (Level 3)


Why study this course?

You will learn the technical skills that are essential to bring your creative ideas to life, and enable you to generate an innovative portfolio of your ideas and samples.

What will I study?

You will work with a wide range of materials to create garments using the design process. You will also learn how to use artist and design references to support your own practical work. Additionally, you will learn about the importance of a professional approach to your work. This includes building portfolios, interview skills and application to higher education or employment.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This Level 3 qualification can help you find employment, or give you the UCAS points needed for university. It will prepare you for undergraduate study, such as the HNC and HND Fashion & Textiles course available at Tresham College or Bedford College.

Are there any additional costs?

• Drawing materials (drawing pads, sketchbooks, pens, pencils, fabrics etc.)
• Two trips per year approx. £15 per trip
