Our Applied Sciences programmes are ideal for students with a keen interest in science, who enjoy solving problems and investigating solutions to complex questions. Our study programmes offer the opportunity to specialise in either general Science, Analytical Forensics or Biomedical Science. If you are not quite ready to study at Level 3 then our Level 2 in Applied Science is a great way to get started on your career path. Successful students from these study programmes progress on to undergraduate study, training or employment in science related careers.
The study programme will cover a range of units required for a broad understanding of chemistry, physics and biology, with units including; chemistry of our earth, the living body, science in medicine, environmental science, energy and the universe, electronics in action and biology and the environment. You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence, assignments and practical and group work. You will also be required to study English & maths and participate in extracurricular activities in College.
You will be able to progress on to the Applied Science Level 3 study programme.
