An apprenticeship is a great way to earn while you learn, working as part of a race team. You will be travelling extensively with a race team and working hands-on in the pit lane, gaining practical experience in all aspects of motorsport.
You will gain experience of stripping and rebuilding a motorsport vehicle, and inspecting motorsport vehicles during events.
You can progress onto the Race Technician Advanced apprenticeship.
An assessor will visit your workplace periodically to observe you at work and to assess evidence of work that you have already completed.
The job of a race technician requires 100% dedication, and involves a lot of travelling and long work hours.
