Art & Design (Level 3)


Why study this course?

This is the ideal course if you want to study a broad base of art and design as it contains a mix of design, drawing, photography, textiles and art history.

What will I study?

You will develop your creative abilities in drawing, developing your design ideas, photography, textiles and the manipulation of a wide range of materials to create artwork for specific audiences.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This Level 3 qualification can help you find employment, or give you the UCAS points needed for university. You will be able to progress on to undergraduate study either at Tresham College or Bedford College, or move on to university or employment.

Are there any additional costs?

• Drawing materials (drawing pads, sketchbooks, pens, pencils etc.)
• Two trips per year approx. £15 per trip

If you are aged 19 or over, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost more affordable. Find out more about your payment options at

Is there anything else I need to know when considering this course?

Entry is subject to a successful interview. You must bring a portfolio which shows examples of your art, design or media work.
