Electrical Installation (Level 2)


Why study this course?

This course covers all of the essential theory and practical training required to undertake a broad range of electrical installation inspection and testing.

What will I study?

You will learn practical electrical installation skills in wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits, forming and assembling electrical cable enclosures and maintaining electrical equipment and systems. This qualification is the recommended Level 2 vocational qualification for students who wish to undertake an electrical installation apprenticeship.

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

This study programme will prepare you for progression on to the Level 3 study programme in Electrical Installation or an apprenticeship programme.

Are there any additional costs?

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) approx. £30
• Textbooks approx. £20
• Basic tool kit costing approx. £50
• You will also be required to pay approx. £40 to take a CSCS test. This will allow you to complete the mandatory 30 hours work experience required as part of this study programme

What qualifications will I gain?

• Electrical Installation (Buildings & Structures) City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma AND • English and maths qualifications if required
