Understanding Common Childhood Conditions NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Certificate (Distance Learning and Online Course)

Why study this course?

This distance learning course will enable you to gain additional skills and a qualification without disrupting your day-to-day life. You will have access to specialist support from dedicated tutors throughout the programme.

What will I study?

By completing this qualification you will increase your knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses. It will enable you to support the development and wellbeing of infants and children you support/care for.
You will:
1. Understand how to provide a safe and healthy environment for babies and young children
2. Understand common childhood illnesses
3. Understand health emergencies and specific health conditions in an early years setting

What will I be able to do after I complete this course?

Course progression:
Once it has been confirmed that you have fully completed the course, there are several next steps that you can take. You can go on to study another level two distance learning course. Alternatively, you could move on to one of our Level 3 Distance Learning courses. Or you could enrol on to the Access to Higher Education course (subject to interview
Career progression:
By completing any of the above courses, you will gain the skills and knowledge that employers find desirable within the Health and Social Care Sector. It is also a great opportunity for continuous professional development.

How will I be assessed?

You will be provided with a resource pack with assessment booklets to complete. There is also an option to study this course online via our bespoke e-learning portal.

Is there anything else I need to know when considering this course?

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if you do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
