Corby Mayor Thanks Students

UPS and Perf Arts Presentation webOn Tuesday 8th December over 30 students from Tresham’s Uniformed Public Services and Performing Arts courses were thanked by the Mayor of Corby for assisting with a number of events that have been held in and around the town over the past term.

Students were able to put the skills they have learnt as part of their courses into good use at events including:

  • Open air film night at East Carlton Park
  • Corby Fireworks Night
  • Fright Night at East Carlton Park

Students from the Uniformed Public Services course worked with members of the public and organisers of each event to ensure that the visitors to each event were kept safe and received some great comments from Corby Borough Council representatives.

The Performing Arts students took part in the Fright Night as actors and received some fantastic feedback from the visitors to the attraction.

The Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr John McGhee, and the Mayor of Corby, Cllr Peter McEwan, commented:
“Thank you to each and every one of the students all their efforts and for making our events the best for miles around. We truly could not have done this without them.”
