Tresham's Performing Arts learners will be performing The Caucasian Chalk Circle, a play by the German modernist playwright, Bertolt Brecht, on Tuesday 6th December at the college's Kettering campus.

Two performances will be performed on Tuesday 6th December at 2.30pm (tickets are free) and 6.30pm (Tickets cost £3 per person).

The play provides the opportunity for Tresham's learners studying BTEC Level 3 in Performing Arts to put the skills they have learnt during their course into practice.

The Caucasian Chalk Circle is an example of Brecht's epic theatre about a peasant girl who rescues a baby and becomes a better mother than its natural parents. The play was written in 1944 and translated into English for its world premiere as a student production at Carleton College, Minnesota, in 1948. The Caucasian Chalk Circle is now considered one of Brecht's most important plays and it is one of the most regularly performed German plays.

Tickets are available on the door on Tuesday 6th December.
