xl Club Adviser
The success of the xl programme relies heavily on the quality of the xl club Adviser. Our Adviser relates to the students, and allow students to take ownership of their club and has a high level of energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
The skills and personal qualities required of an xl club Adviser include:
- being a caring person, capable of self-motivation and motivation of others, and have the ability to:
- listen to young people
- empower young people
- establish good relationships with school staff
- interact with and develop the client group
- organise and manage systems and resources
- adopt a flexible working approach
- work effectively with young people, teachers and the community and earn their respect
- maintain accurate records
Our xl club Advisers are fully Prince's Trust trained, hold a comprehensive programme manual and resource tools to support and guide them in their work and have a minimum of 3 hours of contact time per week with the xl club members.
