In October 2011 the proposal for a University Technical College at the Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, within the heart of the ‘Motorsport Valley', was approved to by the government to provide high quality skills training in:
- High Performance Engineering
- Technical Events Management
The Silverstone UTC will provide high quality skills training to 14 -19 year olds provided through a partnership between:
- Tresham College of Further and Higher Education (lead sponsor)
- The University of Northampton
- Silverstone Circuits Ltd
