School of Creative Arts and Media
The school of Creative Arts and Media is based at our Kettering campus and has extensive and impressive facilities. These include three Apple Mac suites, a 165-seat theatre, a dance studio, a photography studio and darkroom, dedicated art studios, textile and fashion design studios, a video editing suite, a radio production studio, and a printmaking studio.
We have excellent links with local and national organisations who commission our learners to design, illustrate and perform in ‘live' project work which enriches their education. Learners from Creative Arts and Media have notably worked with local newspaper, the Northamptonshire Telegraph, and have been successful in getting their work published in the local press.
In line with the creative nature of this school, learners take part in a number of shows, performances and exhibitions every year; notably in the annual Fashion Show in April and the end of year Creative Arts Show in June in which all learners exhibit their work or perform. Tresham proudly displays the art work of our learners around all of our campuses.
Student destinations
A large majority of our learners stay with us and progress to the next level of study within the college. There are also opportunities to study at degree level in either Graphic Design or Fine Art. An average of 65% of our learners progress to higher education. Tutors help with UCAS applications to a wide range of universities across the UK, or assist with the internal progression to our own growing Higher Education provision.
