School of A Levels, Business and Professional

The School of A Levels, Business and Professsional offers a wide selection of courses at different levels of study ranging from Level 1 courses through to foundation degrees and post graduate diplomas. The school has a large number of full-time and part-time learners and courses on offer.

The courses run under this school are currently held at the Kettering campus but they will also be extended across onto the new Corby campus which will open in September.

The facilities at the Kettering campus help support us to deliver these courses, we have dedicated laboratories for use on A Level and BTEC medical and forensics courses, specialist computers and software is available to support our AAT learners (accounting). The administration learners benefit from a dedicated mock office where they can practice their skills.


Study visits are organised to various locations depending upon which course you choose to study and the relevance to the curriculum requirements. We also invite in guest speakers to support the curriculum and give learners information about progression opportunities


The School of A Levels, Business and Professional provide courses for anyone depending upon your qualifications from Level 1 to Level 6 qualifications.


Within the school we offer A Levels in 14 subjects with the majority of our learners aiming to move onto university. We also offer BTEC programmes in business and science.

BTEC courses are designed to provide work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. They provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare for employment.

Within the Professional programmes we run a number of professional externally accredited programmes with a large number of learners undertaking the Associate of Accounting technicians (AAT) course. Our Higher Education courses run in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire and University of Northampton include Certificate in Education and Diploma in Management to name two.

Learner destinations

There are opportunities to progress through the different levels preparing you for work or entry to university. Within A Level and business over 70% of learners have applied to UCAS. Within our professional programmes learners have progressed to higher level qualifications at local universities including masters degrees and/or gained promotion or changed career as a result of their studies with us.
