School of Sport, Travel and Public Services
The School of Sport, Travel and Public Services offers a selection of courses at different study levels in this exciting school. Our learners regularly praise the quality of teaching that they receive in this school and relish the practical opportunities that these courses provide.
The courses run under this school are currently held at the Kettering campus but they will also be extended across onto the new Corby campus which will open in September.
The facilities at the Kettering campus never fail to grab the attention of passers-by especially with the fuselage of a BAC1-11 plane at the rear of the Kettering campus. Other facilities include a 3G Astroturf pitch, a playing field, sports hall, and a gym.
Study visits are organised to various locations (residentials or day-trips) depending upon which course you choose to study and the relevance to the curriculum requirements.
The School of Sport, Travel and Public Services provide courses for anyone depending upon your qualifications from Level 1 to Level 4 qualifications.
BTEC courses are designed to provide work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. They provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to prepare for employment. They also provide career development opportunities for those already in work. Learners will also have the chance to supplement these with additional vocational qualifications.
There are opportunities to progress through the different levels preparing you for work or entry to university. 45% of this years learners have applied to UCAS whilst 55% gain employment in their chosen sector.
Tresham’s U18 Junior and U21 Senior Academies offer promising players the chance to train and study as professional athletes whilst making the transition into senior level football and the professional game, assisting in their development as players, students and young people.
