Tresham Tops the League for Success

01 Sep 2010

Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is delighted to have been placed at number 2 in the Data Service's league table for General Further Education College Success Rates for 2008/09.

The league table places all general further education colleges in a league table based on their success rates for learners of all ages on all courses that the college provides.

The Data Service is an independently managed organisation, established and funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and supported by the Skills Funding Agency to act as a single, central point of information for further education.

Mark Silverman, Principal of Tresham commented:

"I am extremely pleased with the achievements made by Tresham staff as a whole in recent years and our placing as second in the success rates league table out all the further education colleges in England is testament to their hard work.

All staff are committed to ensuring that our learners receive a quality learner experience and achieve more at the college and with our success rates at 85.4% we are pleased to have so many success stories leading to further study or employment.

In July 2009 Tresham unveiled a new strategic plan for the next five years and I am confident that the college, together with the exciting new campus in Corby to accompany achievements is on its way to achieving our ambition of being an outstanding college by 2014."
