    Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is delighted with the Government's Ofsted Inspection report published on Monday 14th December 2009 which judged Tresham's overall effectiveness to be ‘Good' following an inspection which took place from 16th till 20th October 2009.

    Demolition work has begun on the site for a brand new Further and Higher Education Centre in Corby.
  • Tresham Learners Support Operation Christmas Child - 16 Nov 2009
    Learners and staff at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education have continued their support for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal. Last year Operation Christmas Child sent over 1.2 million shoeboxes packed full of gifts and goodies to children in disadvantaged situations in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia and Tresham students have delivered 63 filled boxes to the charity, 17 more than in 2008.

    Tresham is seeking to recruit 15 enthusiastic volunteers aged 16 - 25 to take part in the new v talent year full time volunteering programme and enhance learner support services at its main campuses in Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby and Oakham.

    Tresham is one of just thirteen colleges within the UK and the only college within the East Midlands region to be granted approval for its redevelopment plans after the Learning and Skills Council's capital programme committee selected colleges who met the prioritisation criteria which was set in response to the Foster Review recommendation highlighting a needs-based approach with explicit priorities and choice criteria.

    In recent weeks you may have heard stories in the media relating to the problems facing the Learning and Skills Councils national capital project scheme which has run into severe difficulty and over committed planned funding for colleges across the country. Colleges, including Tresham, have been developing plans for new buildings to ensure that its local community have the opportunity to gain the skills they require and gain the employment that they desire.
  • Rutland College Gets Results! - 14 Aug 2008
    Students at The Rutland 6th form College are celebrating their success today after receiving their A and AS Level results. Their hard work and determination, coupled with dedicated support from their teachers and a range of support staff has led to a set of results which in most cases exceed their own individual targets. Out of over 260 A Level entries in 27 different subjects the overall pass rate of 96%, 67% of which are at grade A-C, means that students will now be spending the next few days confirming their places at university or going on to employment.

    On Monday 19th May 2008 students from the Rutland College officially opened their brand new refurbished common room which has been funded through a succesful bid for the Rutland County Councils Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital Fund.
