Facilities

The College is located in beautiful grounds offering a calm environment in which to study.


Art Facilities

The art block includes a large, open area for drawing and painting as well as a dark room which provides an excellent facility for photographic work.  Textiles and screen printing are also available.

Child Care

A nursery is available for use by learners and members of the public.   Places are limited so booking in advance is recommended.  Further information can be obtained from our Learner Centre.

Development Centre

We are committed to supporting your learning need and the Development Centre, which is open all day, is where any learner can receive additional support and informal advice on course related matters. If you have specific learning difficulties these are discussed at interview and necessary arrangements are made before the start of term.

Information Technology Suites

The College has IT suites including specialist facilities for art, media, language and science learners in their study areas and two fully equipped rooms for ICT and Computing teaching with additional space in other areas for learners to use for independent study. The facilities offer Internet access, email, industry standard Microsoft software, laser printers, and scanners.  An on-site technician is available for help and advice via personal tutors.

Refectory

The refectory offers an excellent choice of meals and light lunches including healthy and vegetarian options. The food served is of a very high quality and special dietary needs are catered for. Vending machines are also available for snacks.

Social Facilities

The learner common room provides the perfect setting for socialising with your friends, and the adjacent canteen also provides a social area for learners. The Social Committee also organise events throughout the year for all learners to participate in.

Sports Facilities

The College has its own sports fields, tennis courts, and gymnasium with a climbing wall and equipment.

Library and Research Centre

The Library and Research Centre occupies a central place in the college and provides a wide range of books, videos, audio-cassettes, magazines, periodicals, newspapers and journals. The Centre also has a suite of computers, quiet study areas, and reprographic facilities and carries a stock of stationery items for learners to purchase at a low price.  The Centre is open from 8.30am to 5pm, providing a quiet and comfortable working environment, with staff always on hand for help and advice.

Learner Centre

The Learner Centre is a one-stop-shop for advice. In the centre you will find staff who can offer help and support on any aspect of learner life including choosing, starting or changing a course, work experience, UCAS applications, university open days, financial support, Student Union cards, bus passes, and health issues.  A Personal Adviser from Connexions is available for learners.
