About BTECs
BTECs provide a more practical, real-world approach to learning and skills development alongside a key theoretical background. They are not exam based qualifications. You will undertake projects that form the basis of unit results and an overall grade. Each unit is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. BTEC National Diplomas are equivalent to 3 A Levels and provide UCAS points for higher education. They have also been recognised by employers for a number of years. At the Rutland College we offer BTEC programmes in Business and Sport.
