The Rutland College (soon to be part of the Rutland County College)
The Rutland College is soon to be a part of the Rutland County College. Please visit the Rutland County College website or download the Rutland County College Prospectus
Proposals for the new Rutland County College, a partnership between Rutland County Council, Casterton Business and Enterprise College and Tresham, are currently in public consultation. This partnership represents a fantastic opportunity to develop a sustainable model of post 16 provision for the county of Rutland. If these plans are approved they will enable a much broader curriculum offer for young people in Rutland in addition to the current A Level offer to include more vocational options as a route into employment and widen the choice of learning.
The new plans will see over 90% of these new courses including the current A Level offer being offered in Oakham with some new additional provision at the current Casterton Business and Enterprise College site.
In a small county like Rutland partnership work is critical in ensuring the long term financial sustainability of any post 16 offer. As part of these proposals Tresham is committed to playing a long term role as a member of the planned trust and has pledged to provide revenue and capital investment and resources in the new Rutland County College.
All current AS learners and vocational learners at the Rutland College will be able to progress onto their second year and will be able to complete their second year.
