Tresham College of Further and Higher Education held a day long workshop at its Kettering campus on Thursday 22nd October as part of its Progress Review Week and during national Justice Week to inform its learners about the criminal justice system and the public services.The local emergency services personnel, who are all volunteers, re-enacted a scenario where a young person took her parents car without permission and becomes involved in a fatal road traffic accident.
Learners witnessed the fire, ambulance and police emergency services in action after being called out to the staged accident and demonstrate their procedures in isolating an accident and then taking care of the injured.
Up to 200 Tresham learners took part in the day which has been arranged as part of enrichment activities for the college's Progress Review Week and involved learners from vocational areas such as Uniformed Public Services, Entry to Employment, Tresham Vocational College, Business and A Level Law.
