Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is delighted to have been placed 7th out of a total of 230 General Further Education College within the latest Data Service’s league table 2010/11 for its success rates for 16-18 year olds. This highlights Tresham as the top performing General Further Education College in Northamptonshire.
The Data Services 2010/11 Education and Training National Success Rate Tables places all further education colleges in order based on their success rates for learners of all ages, on all courses, at the college. Tresham remains in the top 20 of all colleges for 2010/11 for all learners’ success securing 12th place.
These tables are used by colleges and Ofsted inspectors to assess their performance and will be used by Tresham to improve the success, retention of learners and the achievements they make in the future.
The Data Service is an independently managed organisation, established and funded by the Department for Business,
Innovation and Skills and supported by the Skills Funding Agency to act as a
single, central point of information for further education.
Stuart Wesselby, Principal of Tresham said:

Tresham’s staff make every effort to ensure learners receive a great learning experience and achieve their full potential at college. Our success rates of 87.3% show the array of successful learners who complete their course each year and progress to further study or employment.
The college has just unveiled a new Statement of Strategic Intent that puts ‘excellence’ and ‘success of our learners’ as a cornerstone for the college going forward. The college is well on its way in its quest to become an outstanding provider of post 16 and adult education.”
The report also highlights that Tresham’s achievement rate for all learners was 94.5%. This figure is calculated by analysing the number of learners who achieved a qualification at Tresham divided by the number of learners who completed their course.« Back to latest news
